No período de 30 de Maio a 5 de Junho de 2004 será realizada a primeira "Spine Week". Esse evento foi idealizado com a finalidade de reunirdiferentes sociedades científicas ligadas à coluna vertebral, e participarão as seguintes sociedades: "International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), Spine Society of Europe (SSE), Cervical Spine Research Society-European Section (E-CSRS), Brazilian Spine Society (BSS) e Sociedad Iberolatinoamericana de Columna Vertebral (SILACO). O evento será realizado na cidade do Porto- Portugal e serão selecionados 40 temas livres pela Sociedade Brasileira de Patologia da Coluna Vertebral para serem apresentados. A lingua oficial do evento será o inglês, e os temas livres terão 6minutos para apresentação. A realização desse evento científico reunindo diferentes sociedades científicas ligadas à coluna vertebral permitirá uma oportunidade única e muito intensa de troca de informações científicas, e também abrirá um importante espaço para nossa participação, pois selecionaremos 40 temas livres para serem apresentados. Esse evento concentrará as atividades científicas de diferentes sociedades ligadas à coluna vertebral, apresentando vantagens do ponto de vista econômico para os participantes. A Sociedade Brasileira de Patologia da Coluna Vertebral sentese honrada e motivada para participar de encontro científico, e convoca todos os seus membros para participar do mesmo e enviar temas livres para serem apresentados.

From the 30th of May until the 5th of June 2004, the first "Spine Week" will take place. The purpose of this event is to unite different scientific societies concerned with the study of the spine. The following societies will participate: The International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), the Spine Society of Europe (SSE), the Cervical Spine Research Society-European Section (E-CSRS), the Brazilian Spine Society (BSS) and the Sociedad Iberolatinoamericana de Columna Vertebral (SILACO). The event will be organized in Oporto (Porto), Portugal. The Sociedade Brasileira de Patologia da Coluna Vertebral (Brazilian Society for the Pathology of the Spine) will select 40 free themes to be presented. The presentationswill have a duration of 6 minutes, and the official language of the congress will be English. As this scientific event is joining various scientific societies for the study of the spine, it will offer a unique opportunity for the intense exchange of scientific information. Moreover, the 40 themes that will be selected, are meant to open up a forum to our participants. The participants will also benefit from certain financial advantages.
The Brazilian Society for the Pathology of the Spine feels honoured and motivated to participate in this scientific congress, and is convoking all its members to attend and to transmit possible themes for presentation.
